VAELA has provided me with so many things that enhance my practice and my quality of life as an attorney. The atmosphere here has always been warm and collegial, and the educational opportunities in VAELA are wonderful. The listserv and the in-person conferences all provide helpful information and practice pointers that keep me up to date with the latest developments in the field, as well as best practices for assisting vulnerable clients. Serving on the Public Policy Committee has opened my eyes to the many ways in which the interests of Virginia’s senior citizens and disabled adults could be better protected, and I value the work that VAELA has done to advance these. As the Immediate Past President of the Virginia chapter, I look forward to working with this organization for years to come.
