Interactive presentations and facilitated discussions on cutting edge issues of interest to Elder Law attorneys, including substantive matters, as well as managing and marketing your Elder Law/Special Needs practice. The Judges' Panel will address issues of capacity and undue influence in guardianship proceedings, will contests, contracts and fiduciary matters. The Judges also will take questions live from participants. Interact with the Judges, as well as colleagues from around the Commonwealth. The afternoon also will include UnProgram sessions. Participate in a variety of small group discussions, each facilitated by an experienced practitioner, on hot topics in Elder Law and Special Needs issues, including substantive issues, practice management, and current technology. New this year: "Beginner Track," with topics specially geared to those new to Elder Law. Saturday's event is open to VAELA Members as well as to non-members, and is limited to the first 150 registrants. Cost:VAELA Members: Friday only: $200 (late/onsite $250) Non-Member Attorneys: Saturday only: $300 (late/onsite $350) Law Students: Saturday only: $75 (late/onsite $100) Register:CLE Notice:Due to the unusual format of the UnProgram, not all sessions will qualify for Virginia CLE credit. We anticipate receiving CLE credits for most of the Saturday sessions, and will apply for the maximum amount of CLE credit for all programming offered. The amount of CLE credit each attendee may claim will vary based upon actual attendance. (Each prior VAELA UnProgram received approval from the VSB for CLE credits.)
